Contract Trading Course: Position Reduction and Closing

Reduction (partial closing)

Traders can reduce positions they are holding (partially close positions), stop losses and reduce the expected risk of positions, or take earnings. The following is a reduction demonstration:

In the [submit entrustment] area, click the [close position] button to switch to  close position.

1. Select entrustment type

Click the drop-down box on the right of the entrustment type to select the price limit mode.

2. Enter price and order QTY

Enter $7074 in the [price] Field

Enter 100 pieces in the [position] Field

Short positions send out buy / close orders when closing or reducing positions, and can match with the order of the seller's market. At present, the latest transaction price in the market is around $7075, and the $7074 selling order entrustment belongs to the discount order entrustment, which can be matched with the order to complete the transaction.

Confirm reduce one's position size

Check the market change and confirm to close the position according to the price/number order QTY.

Send out reduction Entrustment

Click the sell / long button to send out the entrustment after review

Method 2

Select the closing column on the right side of the position, enter the price and position quantity to reduce/close the position, or quickly close all positions according to the market price.
