  Hey! I’ve dealt with this recently, and importing MBOX files to Gmail is totally doable — just not directly through Gmail itself. The easiest method I’ve used is with Thunderbird and enabling IMAP in your Gmail account. Basically, you import the MBOX into Thunderbird, then move the emails into your Gmail folders — they sync automatically.
